Wheelchair Cane Insert
thingiverse
My son's wheelchair (Ki Rogue) comes equipped with a removable cane that clips onto the back brace of the chair. To detach it, you have to compress a set of locking mechanisms, which has proven challenging for his caregivers and family members. This handy insert compresses the springs on conical ramps, making it easier to insert and remove the cane. It also gives my son the freedom to take off the cane himself if he wants to.\nPrint Settings\nPrinter: \n FolgerTech FT-5\n \n Rafts: \n Off\n \n Supports: \n No\n \n Resolution: \n 0.2mm\n \n Infill: \n 25%\n \n Notes: \n Print the part vertically, with the conical surfaces facing up and down.\nPost-Printing\nThis part needed some grinding to fit perfectly around a few bolts.
