Wheelbarrow Headlight Using Eveready 6V Flashlight Guts
thingiverse
In the harsh chill of winter, venturing out to the woodshed at night's darkest isn't a fun task. So I fabricated a headlight for my wheelbarrow utilizing the innards of an Eveready 6V flashlight (refer to http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1071036 ). Many variations exist for the housing of the light; here, you'll see the one known as "bell housing with beefed-up attachment post". The parts were painted with affordable appliance epoxy paint to provide weather-proofing benefits. I wouldn't have chosen beige otherwise, except it was that or white – and I figured white would be comical on a wheelbarrow. For the other variants of the lens housing, lighter posts suffice for non-vibrating applications. There are also some versions where the post and housing are separate pieces, which can be epoxied together later; these will save support material.
