Wheel Worx Landroid M500Plus WR165E

I did have issues with the stock wheels on my landroid digging holes into the grass in different situations (corners, slopes).

I saw different models on thingiverse but didn't like what I found so I desigend this one.

It has a little bigger diameter but same width as stock wheel.

As I wasn't sure if the spikes will last long enough or weather I need to improve the pattern I built it in two parts that just stick together and will be secured with self tapping screws for easy change if needed.

I printed everything with PETG, 0,25 layer, 10% infill, 4 perimeters
Supports are needed for the center part and the screw areas…of cours place the flat side on the built plate.

For one wheel I used:
- 24 self tapping screws M3x10mm
- M10 Hex nut (metric) DIN934
- 1 washer 29,5mm outer diameter 10,5mm inner diameter, 2.5mm thickness (I had these in my workshop)

Assembly:

After removing some stringings tire and center part snuggled together smoothely. The supported screwing planes needed to be sanded of course to get a smooth flat plane concise/flush plane from both parts.
I used some loctite to secure the nuts.

Nut cover:

be aware this won't fit the stock nut as this is smaller than an standard DIN nut. Fits perfectly with my DIN934 hex nut M10.

Testdrive:

I did the first run today and it looks like it works perfectly on the grass. As the mower needs to cross my cobblestone path going through the backyard he struggles a bit because of little grip on the stones…but he managed it quite good. Uphill and downhill on grass way better than stock but worse on stone path.

Front wheel:

it has a bigger diameter than the stock one. I printed in medium TPU. As TPU is not that easy…my Anycubi I3M struggled a lot so I printed it with MK3s+ and came out fine.
