Wheel Toe Alignment Jig
thingiverse
Took my car to the shop to get aligned, they said no way due to worn-out rack. Yes, it's true - 410,000 miles on that baby! I just wanted tires to stop wearing out because toe was way off. So, I built a jig myself to line it up. You'll need three prints: two sets of three each. See the pics for details. Print center first, then wheelbrace and slider2 thrice. Two 14" and one 9.5" threaded rod are needed - five-sixteenths thread, of course! My printer makes tiny holes, so adjust those on center piece or use included FreeCAD files. Assemble jig by pressing slider down between tire and rim, add nuts to lock it in place, then stretch a tape measure between lower rods. It's clunky at first but works great once you get the hang of it. Not perfect, but helps reduce tire wear and might even improve driving experience. Use at your own risk - if unsure about alignment, just take it to a shop! Tip: wheels must turn freely while adjusting; use loose ball bearings and flat bar for smooth turning. You can also buy adjustment plates on eBay.
