I've found a Kickstarter campaign a few months ago that made my dream of creating a commercial open source 3D/CNC all-in-one printer a reality. The machine is called the "Alpha" model, and it's a massive 500mm x 500mm x 500mm printer built from the pieces I uploaded to my profile and some additional ones available on Thingiverse. I'll be posting an update soon that brings together all the parts of the prototype.
