So yet again I find myself playing around in FreeCAD even before doing a simple search for existing solutions. Maybe there are more suitable models out there... But where's the fun in that? ;) This is a sort of stand for the small plastic wheels underneath my portable air-conditioner unit on wheels, a Cleverio AC-900. Now, portable AC-units being an almost complete waste of energy in itself, I get somewhat better performance with a cooler room-environment when the whole unit is lifted up approx. 100cm (~3 ft.) from floor using a steel frame from an old hamper from IKEA and a piece of shelfing-wood. Placed in a bedroom, noise and vibrations are real struggles, so I ended up placing a sound-proofing mat from Biltema (Sweden's equivalent to a Home Depot/Costco/Canadian Tire-kind-of-store) between the shelf and the unit itself. It works nice and all, but! the unit's wheels are very pushed down into the sound absorbing foam leaving the already limited airflow around the bottom of the compressor (a very hot component, placed low inside unit because of weight-reasons, I would believe) completely blocked off and eventually unit is pushed down by gravity, reaching bottom of foam and conducting vibrations yet again.. And! "free" wheels with no built in brakes on a quite heavy unit requires extra thought when placed quite a bit above floor-level. Foam on picture(s) is also foiled , a sort of temperature-shield, and is not intended for this specific purpose, but it was what I had at hand at the time. Now, 3D-model could probably fit many more AC-unit makes/models and probably many other uses of locking wheels, scaling the model to fit a specific need. "Native" model is made for wheels with a width of 15mm and a diameter of 32mm.
