Wheel of the Year

Wheel of the Year

I decided to design a series of 3D prints that I would love to see, given the lack of Alchemical or Witch-themed models available. This wheel of the year is one such creation, featuring all the seasonal festivals with their corresponding phases of the moon on the outer ring. The moon also symbolizes both the dark and light sides of the year, creating a striking visual effect. In the center, a star represents the golden mean, with each section reflecting its significance in the lines that connect it. Each point on the star corresponds to Earth, Air, Fire, Water, and Spirit. The Wheel of the Year is an annual cycle of seasonal festivals observed by many modern Pagans, consisting of the year's chief solar events (solstices and equinoxes) and the midpoints between them. While different pagan traditions have unique names for each festival, syncretic treatments often refer to the four solar events as "quarter days" and the four midpoint events as "cross-quarter days," particularly in Wicca. Various sects of modern Paganism also have distinct views on the precise timing of each celebration, influenced by factors such as lunar phase and geographic hemisphere.
