I designed a vehicle and encountered an issue with the 4mm nuts, which weren't readily available, so I created my own alternative. To secure these makeshift fasteners, applying locktite would be advisable. The hole is slightly undersized; to correct this, I utilized a tap to thread it properly, but you can also use a drill if needed.
