Wheel hub for RC "bush plane"
thingiverse
Made this sturdy wheel hub to match the lightweight foam cut bush wheels I crafted for my SuperSTOL model, featuring an interior "wheel stop" design that turned out really well. The lightweight foam cut wheels I designed measure approximately 5.5 inches / 135-140 millimeters in diameter and 40 millimeters wide, although users are free to choose their own wheel dimensions. In this case, XPS blue foam was painted with acrylic paint, while the wear surface is protected by a ring sourced from an old wheelbarrow wheel hub.I'm confident that it will function flawlessly. The sturdy wheel hub holds together with 5 M2x30 bolts and lock nuts. A shaft hole measuring 3 millimeters in diameter provides additional stability. My design was inspired by the MPX Funcub wheels and hubs, and I'm pleased to report that it feels much sturdier than its Multiplex counterpart.Print SettingsPrinter Brand: RepRapPrinter Model: MiniKosselRafts: NoSupports: NoResolution: 0.2 mmInfill: 40-60%
