Wheel Hub for Power Window Motor
thingiverse
This wheel hub was engineered to fit seamlessly inside Power window motors sold by American Science & Surplus. Originally designed for a Chrysler, these hubs appear compatible with many modern motors based on Dorman's design after analyzing images of various assemblies. Check out this driver-side motor at http://www.sciplus.com/p/DRIVER-SIDE-MOTOR_52778, and take note that the part number on the label reads 402430. Both left and right side motors can be used with these hubs. My goal is to link these hubs to standard lawnmower wheels for a robot platform. I've included an adapter to facilitate this connection, as well as the Sketchup source file. You can modify the adapter using this design as your foundation or create your own custom adaptation. Feel free to share any projects you develop! The gear comes off of these motors and is linked by a rubber damper. Remove the gear and replace it with this hub. Two 2mm holes are available on each stud (2 per stud), enabling the mounting of an adapter while also adding stiffness using inserted screws.
