Designing a Wheel Center Cap using FreeCAD involves several steps and considerations to ensure a functional and aesthetically pleasing part. First, launch FreeCAD and create a new project. Then, navigate to the "Part Design" workbench by clicking on the corresponding tab at the bottom of the screen. This will allow you to design 2D and 3D parts. Next, use the "New Sketch" tool to draw the base circle for the wheel center cap. To do this, click on the "Rectangle" button in the toolbar and then select the "Circle" option from the drop-down menu. After defining the base circle, create a sketch for the outer ring of the wheel center cap. You can use the same "New Sketch" tool to draw this shape. Now that you have both sketches, it's time to extrude them into 3D objects using the "Pad" tool. Select each sketch and then click on the "Pad" button in the toolbar. FreeCAD will ask for some parameters such as height and material. Fill these in accordingly and then click "OK".
