Wheel Adapter for Kids Electric Tractor

<p>This wheel adapter fits a Peg Perego 6V John Deere Power Pull Tractor Powered Ride-On. The original wheels are hard plastic and slip easily on wet grass or small inclines. This adapter allows you to install a different wheel or tire. The adapter meshes with the Peg Perego drive gear box and provides 4 holes for bolting on the new wheel. You will need to hex head bolts long enough to fit.</p> <p>This particular tractor model only has 1 drive wheel. The adapter is only needed for the drive wheel. The opposite, passive wheel, doesn't need the adapter but does need a sleeve for the axle so that the new wheel will fit.</p> <p>You will need to buy/make an appropriate wheel that fits. I used these wheels from McMaster-Carr: Steel-Hub Pneumatic Wheel, Center-Mount Hub with Ball Bearing, 12" Diameter x 4-1/8" Wide, Black Wheel (Part number 2717T44). You need to drill 4 holes in the wheel. I printed the adapter first, then put it on the wheel and marked the hole locations using a long nail through the holes in the adapter.</p> <p>With these wheels, the stock axle will not be long enough. I extended the axle using a coupling nut from a local hardware store (sorry, I don't remember the thread that fits). I put the extension on the drive side. Use the sleeve parts to increase the effective diameter of the axle so that the wheel fits appropriately.</p> <p>Spray paint the rims yellow to get that sleek look!</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>Print in PETG at 30% fill.
