This massive creature is facing a dire situation.\r\nWhales can live for more than 150 years, and their slow reproductive rate makes them extremely susceptible to population fluctuations or even collapse.\r\nThe combination of whaling and overfishing poses an enormous challenge that will overwhelm the entire ecosystem.\r\nDespite being the largest animal to have ever existed, blue whales still haven't recovered from being hunted to the brink of extinction.\r\nI hope this toy will serve as a reminder of how gentle these mammals are, and how crucial it is to preserve them along with all the ecosystems that sustain us.\r\n\r\nMy personal settings:\r\nThis toy features movable parts.\r\nPrint this toy immediately. No assembly required. Do not use any supports or it will not function properly.\r\nYou can find a timelapse of this print here.\r\nThe filament used is PLA.\r\nA 0.4mm nozzle was employed.\r\r\n100% original size\r\nLayer height set to 0.2mm\r\nExterior wall thickness: 1mm\r\nInfill density: 20%\r\nMaximum printing speed: 2400 mm/min (40 mm/sec), depending on your machine's specifications.\r\nI used 5-10% white filament (approximately 150mm using 3mm filament) at the beginning, then switched to blue filament for a two-color print. This was due to my Prusa printer having only one extrusion unit.\r\r\nI hope you and/or your kids will enjoy this whale as much as I do with my own children.\r\nDon't forget to have fun!
