Our project is a whale that has parts that move in a wave-like motion with the rotation of just one shaft as a result of differently positioned cams. Spinning the crank moves the whole whale in this manner, creating a spectacle for the eyes and endless satisfaction as shown by the perfectly looped GIF. The only non-3D printed materials used were the sandpaper strips attached to the circular follower and its cams. Post-processing is likely to be required, but should not take long. The model is relatively simple to construct, and the overall dimensions are 24 cm by 21 cm by 10 cm. This was a team project made in collaboration with Maroun Halal, and his page is linked below.
