Wet Tumbler / Rock Tumbler / Nass Tumbler

This project is a work in progress - I do not recommend printing this yet (untested). I'm working on a modular wet rotary tumbler to clean shells from ammunition. As a result, the concept may change until I figure out how to transport the motor force to the can (I like to create a modular system for different motors). Highlights: - Flexible motor mounting: possible plates 40 (NEMA), 60 and 80mm. Flexible height position. - Flexible power supply: up to 175mm length and 100mm width. - Flexible can length with repeatable mit part, easy lock on and optional rubber ring. - Optional fan: 60x60x15mm in mid part, not visible. Cases allow for easy airflow. - Fixed cable mounting brackets in case for easy cabling. You can glue the mid part if needed. I also recommend printing at least 8 to 10 inner walls and at least 5 outer walls. Especially if you're going to use it as designed (the metal pins will be abrasive for the print material, and the can shouldn't have too thin walls). You can print all parts with a 200x200 build area. The middle part is optional; if you need a longer can - repeat as often as you want. Supports are only needed for the optional mid part (touching build plate) at this point. I plan to use the following electronic parts for this project (high force for heavier weight to clean a lot of shells at once) - list may still change: - Motor: 24V DC, 30 RPM 35W https://de.aliexpress.com/item/4000203195230.html - Speed controller: 6 to 60V, 30A https://de.aliexpress.com/item/4000315759254.html - Power supply: Mean Well - 24V DC, 5A, 108W https://de.farnell.com/mean-well/lrs-100-24/netzteil-ac-dc-24v-4-5a/dp/2815968 (choose your local supplier, got it on amazon for 17€ - as mentioned, other cases for other power supplies will be possible). What you'll need too: - 1x 8mm motor connection https://m.de.aliexpress.com/item/32897216951.html - 5x 628zz rubber wheel https://de.aliexpress.com/item/33021410308.html - or normal 3d print pulleys (4 of them per stand = double wheels) - Some screws, washers and nuts (list will follow) - 4x M8x1,25 x 60mm bolt, 4x M8 nut, 4x M8 washer for wheel stands - 80x80x15 Fan if you want to cool motor and power supply. https://de.aliexpress.com/item/32600915237.html - 3mm rubber band for sealing the can (if you want to be sure it's water tight) https://de.aliexpress.com/item/32950182120.html Status of things to do: - Can: 100% - Rotary System: 100% - Motor System: 100% - Cases: power supply 80% - Speed control: 0% I'm waiting for the electronic parts from China. Then I'll publish all parts after I've printed and checked them.
