Wet Plate Drying Rack

Wet Plate Drying Rack

thingiverse

This is a drying rack I designed specifically for wet plate photos. However, I believe it should also work effectively with dry plates. The design has been tested with samples ranging from a 3x3 aluminum setup to a 5x12 glass plate without any issues. The concept is based on an antique wooden drying rack but optimized for 3D printing by removing excess material. The overall design consists of four components: two sides and two platforms. The platforms are designed to easily slide into the slots on the sides. To disassemble and lay down flat, simply pull the pieces apart. The best part is that you can customize it according to your needs. A FreeCAD file is included with the design, which is almost fully parametric. This means you can adjust various parameters such as side width, gaps between platforms and sides, gap between platforms, length of platforms, size of teeth, amount of platform cut out, and even tolerance.
