Wet Palette

Wet Palette

thingiverse

I was busy painting some Warhammer 40k models and ended up using the top of a Tupperware container as a makeshift wet palette. Unfortunately, it didn't quite meet my expectations, so I decided to create my own. The larger compartment is designed for either a folded paper towel (I typically fold it 2-3 times) or a sponge cut in half. Initially, I tried using a sponge but found that the wax paper on top wouldn't stay moist. The smaller compartment serves as a brush rinse with some ridges at the bottom and a smaller flat area to help remove excess paint. There are also several notches for holding brushes that aren't currently in use or need to be set aside temporarily, eliminating the problem of them rolling away. On my current settings, including a print speed of 70mm/sec across all components, Cura estimates it will take approximately three hours to complete the print job.
