This is a "wet film applicator".With this tool you can put an even film of something on a flat surface.The tool is a proof of concept, to test if it will work (and it does).Usage of the tool:The paint should have a paste like consistency.Put some paint on the surface.Slide the tool over the paint, slightly pressing it down.See the pictures! My usage:Currently I use this tool to create a even 0.2mm coating of powder coating paint to a aluminum sheet. I mixed the powder with a solution of PVA to make a paste.Let it dry for a while.The coating is then fixed by laser engraving.This need only very few laser power. The not laser fixed parts can be washed away.The STLs are 55mm wide to fit the card format.Use the attached Freecad file to build the size and thickness you need.
