Western Digital USB 3.0 external HDD wall mount
thingiverse
Simple wall mount for the WD Elements UB 3.0 external HDD. I whipped this up so I could mount the drive for my Raspberry Pi in my data closet. This isn't fancy, or even pretty, but it should be sturdy and allow for sufficient cooling. THIS IS A WORK IN PROGRESS. I am licensing this Creative Commons - Attribution - Share Alike. My intent is for GPL v2 similar status. Share it, modify it, make money off of it if you want to, but give me credit where credit is due and you cannot restrict resulting derivatives using this design. You were given, so give. This was designed in Sketchup Make 2017, and I have not yet printed out my first print. . I MAY change the design of how the supports attach to the base, I may not. I have not yet decided. If anyone wants to remix this and relieve the edges, share the resulting file with me. I am too lazy to do that part... Designed to work with USA #8 screws. I have not bevelled the head recesses for flat head screws. That is in my TODO list I just haven't done yet... Printing will be done on Voxelab Aquila fitted with PEI sheet using Voxelab PLA. Skirt adhesion mostly to get the filament flowing, no cooling initial layers, then 50%. Kind of getting to be my defaults since this PEI sheet installation. I use the textured side of the sheet FWIW because I like the texture.
