Wanted a hatband that wasn't traditional, and also didn't cost $50+. Print the chain flat. Join the two sections using the tab and slot. Strip out the guts of the paracord, then run the paracord sheath in and out of the chain as desired. I went through every third link. It definitely helps to melt the end into a point to make it easier to weave in and out. Tie off long ends of paracord so that the whole thing fits tightly around the base.
