Westcott iPoint Orbit Pencil Sharpener cap
thingiverse
My kids misplaced the cap, so I had to order a new one to keep the messy debris inside under control. Since I don't possess the original cap to measure its dimensions, the design was based on measurements taken from the body of the electric pencil sharpener. This power adapter-equipped electric pencil sharpener was purchased at Costco several years ago and should be identical to Sam's Club's model, although I'm uncertain if it will fit other battery models that resemble it in online photos but haven't been verified with a physical check. If you have a battery-powered model that works for you, please add your comment so others can benefit from the knowledge. [Update May 28] It just dawned on me that the direction of the groove was reversed in my initial print. Since the wall is soft enough to be forced into place, it still fits perfectly and I didn't notice this until I saw an unexpected mark on the wrong side. The corrected version has been uploaded, so if you downloaded it initially, you'll need to download again. After printing out the updated model, I felt that it was a bit too tight, possibly due to my decision to print with "Make Overhang Printable" in Cura, which essentially raised the groove starting height by a little. Therefore, I lowered the groove 1mm and uploaded the revised file titled iPointSharpernerCap_1mm.stl. I haven't tested print the 1mm offset version yet and am unsure if it's been over-corrected, since the original one works just fine for me. If necessary, I'll update the results of this test or add a comment based on someone else's experience with it.
