Westar 34
thingiverse
My own take on the westar 34 blasters as used by Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones. Edit 22-Mar-2019: I've uploaded a new version of the files, with revisions that focus solely on how it prints and assembles. Changes include: * The parts are split up more to minimize overhangs / supports when printing. * The tabs/slots are larger and sturdier. * A tab is added at the top of the trigger for a stronger connection. * Alignment holes are included in the grips, making assembling them easier. * The hole for the brass rod in the trigger extends all the way through and into the grip. For my own prints, I don't use the "brass-rod" file. Instead, I purchase 1/8" brass rod from Amazon and file the end round to fit perfectly. I utilize 3mm round head screws (also available on Amazon) for the screw holes. While they're not functional, they look nicer than printed screws. For alignment holes, you can use small pieces of 1.75mm filament or my preferred option: 16 ga. copper wire. Any parts that require gluing are bonded together using CA glue (superglue). To achieve a smooth finish, I sand, apply Bondo Glazing putty and filler primer until it's flawless, making sure to scrape out any excess material from the fine grooves so they remain sharp. Then, I paint with my preferred rattle can / air brush / colors. Edit 12 April 2019: I've added a new file called "wetform.stl", designed to use as the block for wet forming leather holsters over. It's sized to fit this prints and worked out perfectly for me. I printed it in vase mode with a 1.0mm nozzle volcano hot end.
