WeSaCom APT-06 Receiver holder The WeSaCom APT-06 weather receiver from WRAASE Electronic GmbH is designed to receive the NOAA weather satellite and its APT signal. With the "WXtoImage" software, the signal can be decoded, and then the weather data can be used for personal weather forecasts. This bracket is intended for table mounting or rack mounting. It is as small as possible while maintaining maximum stability. The rubber feet located underneath the unit do not need to be removed. Cost savings, damage prevention, and optimal flight planning can be achieved through timely and reliable data analysis. In today's digital world, desired data, including current satellite images and forecasts from experienced professionals, can be easily retrieved. However, in remote or isolated areas where phone reception is limited or unavailable, an alternative must be provided. This is particularly important for planned TV and film productions or drone flights. We aimed to create a mobile system for rental that can transport the HPRC case series. Currently, we are intensively testing the retrieval of specific data from NOAA satellites (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration), which orbit the Earth about 800 kilometers above and continuously provide new image material free of charge. The required software builds the image material in stages based on reception strength and automatically corrects loading errors. The available weather images include, among other things, important information such as cloud formation and temperature conditions within the selected area. An example of use would be preparing for a flight with an aircraft, for instance, a drone or quadrocopter equipped with a camera system. Only with the help of a wind gauge and several weather pictures transmitted every few hours by the satellites can one calculate the next suitable time for flying.
