Werner Ladder Camera Mount (Lock-In system)
thingiverse
When photographing something substantial, tripods often fall short. Since I needed a larger platform for my camera, I opted to attach it to the ladder instead. To my surprise, no suitable adapters were readily available on the market, so I decided to create one myself. This adapter will only function with Werner ladders that employ their "Lock-in" system, which features a round hole at the top for holding various tools and paint accessories. However, I'm not aware if other companies utilize this same design, so I can't guarantee its compatibility with other ladders. To build this adapter, you'll need to 3D print two parts: a mount and a clamp handle. In addition to these printed components, the following materials are required: - A ballhead tripod mount with a standard 3/8" thread that can safely support your camera's weight, including lenses. - A 3/8" machine screw, approximately 20 mm (3/4") long, featuring a countersink (tapered) head. - A 1/4" machine screw measuring around 76 mm (3 inches) in length. - A 1/4" hex nut for secure tightening. - A Werner ladder, specifically one that utilizes the "Lock-in" system.
