This caps off the rungs of the Werner Type 1A (300 lbs) 28' Extension ladder on top of my truck to prevent whistling sounds. The plug may fit a variety of ladders, but I suspect it's most likely compatible with other lengths of Type 1A extensions from Werner. Other ratings and manufacturers pose a much lower chance of compatibility. I printed the plugs, which provide a snug friction fit, but I doubt they would remain secure at highway speeds, so I sealed them in place using acrylic caulk. Your specific tolerances may vary and require adjustments for a proper fit.
