WeMos D1 Mini, a popular microcontroller board, is at the heart of this project. To power it efficiently, we need a 5.5mm x 2.1mm DC female socket, which can be sourced from online retailers like megabonus.com. Additionally, a JST SM 3-pin connector will be required for connecting peripherals. To get started with WLED on the ESP8266 chip, refer to the comprehensive guide available at tynick.com/blog/11-03-2019/getting-started-with-wled-on-esp8266/.
