This was designed to create a remote DSLR focus and shutter control. The wired remotes on older DSLR cameras often only have two functions just like the shutter button. One relay would simulate pressing the button down slightly, the 2nd relay would simulate a full button depress. So, with NodeRED and Home Assistant, I was able to create an automation that would first focus, wait a few seconds, then fire off the photo based upon a custom trigger. In this case, the trigger was a sensor that was measuring the weight of whatever was placed on the baby's crib. If the weight exceeded 5lbs, then the routine would fire. It was to automate a time-lapse collection of top-down images for our daughter when she was born. The base holds two D1 Mini Relays and there's a mount for a D1 Mini micro-processor. There are vents on the unit, and there's an opening for a power cable, and on the other side, a small opening for the wires connected to the relays.
