Wemos D1 Mini & DHT11 Shield Enclosure

Update - v2 (8.13.2019) As I experimented with different DHT11 shields, I discovered that the lid didn't fit some shields properly. I also encountered issues with certain off-brand Wemos D1 Minis not fitting snugly in the base. So, I've increased the tolerance in both the base and the lid to allow for minor variations in manufacture. I strongly recommend using the v2 versions of the Base and Lid. I've also created a spacer to ensure precise separation when soldering the shield to the Wemos D1 Mini. The images demonstrate how to utilize it effectively. New files included in this update are: 1. Solder Spacer Original Summary A DHT11 Shield mounted on a Wemos D1 Mini enclosure designed for protection and concealment of bare circuit boards, while keeping the sensor exposed to air. The enclosure snaps together seamlessly without requiring fasteners. An optional pin is provided for the reset button; alternatively, a paperclip can be used to access the reset button on the Wemos. There's some allowance for the spacing between the Wemos and the shield. The case is designed with a nominal dimension of 0.3 inches (7.6mm) from the bottom of the Wemos board to the top of the shield board, accommodating a tenth of an inch higher or lower. --- NOTE The lid is specifically sized for my particular DHT11 shield. However, there are numerous variations available, so it may not fit yours. If you'd like me to upload the Fusion 360 file, I can make adjustments to the lid dimensions according to your needs. Update 8.13.2019 - New versions with improved fit are now available. For a looser fit, use the v2 files.
