The Wemos D1 Enclosure with DHT22 Shield. This enclosure is designed for the Wemos D1 board paired with a DHT22 shield. It consists of two main parts: a bottom section and a lid. The bottom part serves as a spacer, ensuring a snug fit for the Wemos board, while also accommodating the USB charging cable through a precision-cut hole. The lid is straightforward in design, simply attaching to the top without any lateral movement. Strategically placed holes on both the bottom and lid allow for airflow around the DHT22 sensor, while additional holes on the bottom part facilitate heat dissipation from the chip. It's essential to note that when using this setup with the DHT22 shield positioned directly above the chip, users may experience false-high readings due to the chip heating up the surrounding air. However, combining this setup with deep sleep mode and a 3-minute sleep period can yield accurate readings. Also noteworthy is that the white overhang on the DHT22 sensor must be removed to allow it to fit within the enclosure, although this is a relatively simple process. We'd love to see your results!
