I upgraded my throat to make it last forever. It's stronger now. The new one fits perfectly on the original thread. The 2.0 model comes with an improved angle that works great for many people. Some folks prefer this design, and who can blame them? Just keep in mind that you'll need longer M3 screws to secure it properly.
