Welding Lens Adapter

Necessity is the spark that ignites creation. If you're here then perhaps your lens window has shattered off, or the type of lens you have isn't compatible with your helmet. I have this type of welding shield https://imgur.com/a/IEXahU1 and while they perform flawlessly for what they are it's a bit of a nuisance working outdoors and having to flip the window up, locate where to weld next, then flipping the window back down. I happened to have a well-used but still somewhat functional welding shield https://imgur.com/a/IEXahU1 with a few black spots) and had it duct-taped at first, so I decided to create this adapter to hold it in place. I could probably cut out the slot where the welding glass goes instead but I'm uncertain how long this auto darkening lens will last as it was a garage sale find and it already has some damage. The lens I have is a AAA battery style one (LensAdapter.stl), from Googling it doesn't seem very common but I've since edited the design and have added a second adapter to hopefully fit the more prevalent 2" x 4-1/4" auto darkening welding lens (LensAdapter2.stl). I designed mine around my helmet and lens, the lens into the adapter and the adapter into the helmet are friction fit, so far working great for me but might be an issue with other lenses or helmets, report with feedback to make adjustments.
