The new Hood_Fan has been redesigned to use AA batteries or a wall wart because the FullyMax 300mAh 7.4v battery pack I used at first are crap.

Here's the complete parts list:

-Blower 5010 AiTrip 12vDC 50x50x15mm fan Amazon $3.50 ea

-JST Pigtail Letool JST 1.25mm 2 Pin Micro Female Connector Plug 80mm Wires Amazon $0.15 ea

-PWM Controller 1803BK 12v 2A Onyehn Adjustable Driver Switch 2 pack Amazon $4.50 ea

1: M4 Heat-set nut

1: M4 x 10mm flat head screw

Total parts: around $10.-

Print Settings

Rafts:

Doesn't Matter

Supports:

The PWM card holder needs “Touching buildplate”; the rest can print as is.

Resolution:

0.2mm

Infill:

80%

Filament: Hatchbox PLA Any color

Notes:

You'll need to press the Heat-set nut into the hole provided in the front of the blower housing. Fasten the board holder to it with the flat head screw. slot the controller into the holder and wire it up. I find it helps to run the wires between the clip and the blower to hold them out of the way.

-On the top of your welding hood: drill screw holes for M4 bolts and one large 20mm hole in the middle of them to mount blower. Bed the blower body down with a little RTV to prevent leaks. Hook up batteries and plop them in your shirt pocket. Alternately a wall wart can provide continuous power.

All additional parts are available from Amazon:

Category: Tools
