I recently experienced a problem with the autodarkening insert on my welding helmet - it broke down on me. Given that affordable replacement parts were nowhere to be found, I decided not to invest in a new one since I don't weld as frequently as others do. To resolve this issue, I came up with and printed a simple adapter that fits a low-cost autodarkening insert into my existing helmet.
