Door Bumper for Pentair Admiral Skimmer - A Similar Part to 85016600 We recently moved in and installed new skimmers on our pool. Initially, they came with weir baskets that seemed to work well, but there was a significant issue when we shut off the pump. The debris went right back into the pool, rendering the setup useless. I dug deeper and identified our skimmers as Admiral S15s. These models have small nubs for attaching weir doors, so I searched for replacement doors online. I found them and attached them to the skimmers, which worked perfectly. The kids then played in the pool without the pump on, but the slapping of the doors was quite annoying. To solve this problem, I turned to the internet again and discovered that there's a bumper available to prevent the slapping noise. However, these bumpers were too expensive, with prices starting at $9 each. Since I have a 3D printer, Fusion 360 software, and a pressing need for a solution, I decided to take matters into my own hands. In my case, the replacement weir doors were slightly shorter than the originals, which meant that my original nub didn't fit perfectly. To address this issue, I designed a version 2 of the bumper, extending one side down by a bit and shrinking the nub slightly. The first version was printed at 20% infill, but the second version turned out perfect when printed at 30% infill.
