My sister asked me to create a monkey-shaped door puller for her, but I'm apparently incapable of drawing a monkey to save my life. However, I did have a picture of my cousin's shorthair dachshund, and on the logic that wiener dogs are at least as amusing as monkeys, I decided to give it a try. One Adobe Illustrator image trace later, voilà! It measures about 5 inches long and is only ¼ inch thick when printed. To make it stronger, I beefed up the print settings considerably. UPDATE: Version 2 improves the profile, enlarges the eye, and reduces the thickness. Even at ¼ inch, the shells and infill keep it quite rigid. Reduced print time and material usage.
