The unit features a weight loss type hopper, also known as a gravimetric hopper, designed to hold exactly 50 kilograms of dry mixtures in the form of powders or granules. The U-shaped design minimizes powder deposition, while a stirrer ensures consistent mixture and effectively scrapes against the walls. A screw is integrated to unload at a rate of 3 kilograms per minute, driven by a Bonfiglioli VF-44 gearbox with a reduction ratio of 1:35. Four single-point Mettler Toledo load cells, each with a capacity of 50 kilograms (MT-1241), support the hopper's base. The entire frame is protected by easy-to-clean stainless steel panels to maintain utmost hygiene and safety standards.
