prusaprinters
You have probably seen or heard of “Fat Gripz” if you are an average gym-goer. They are essentially a sleeve that goes over a dumbbell or barbell handle in order to more effectively target your biceps and forearms during workouts. I decided to create a printable version because I believe they make a big difference in most exercises involving grip strength or the arms in general. They are not a crazy expensive product and they already offer different sizes with quality material but it can be printed for much cheaper. In my slicer there seemed to be an issue with scaling so if it imports very small, just set the height of all models to 5 in. or 127mm. Below are all the dimensions so you can print the size you want as well as general settings I used when printing. Enjoy! Model Dimensions:Small - 1 in. inner diameter, 2 in. outer diameterMedium - 1.25 in. inner diameter, 2.25 in. outer diameterLarge - 1.25 in. inner diameter, 2.5 in. outer diameterAll models have a 5 in. height which should fit the majority of standard dumbbells as well as a 1mm cut through one side so you are able to spread and stretch the grip around the handle Printing Instructions:Material: TPULayer Height: 0.20 mm layer heightInfill: 15% Honeycomb (infill pattern should not matter, I just like honeycomb)Top/Bottom Layers and Perimeters: At least 2 (preferably 3)you will need to print the same model twice for a matching set but I recommend printing one at a time to prevent stringing and surface inconsistencies.
