Weighted Storage Cube Gears
thingiverse
To improve the original OpenSCAD file, the gear teeth intersection with the cube was altered. The large gear's 'horns' were deemed fragile and unattractive; thus, the tooth counts changed from 18/9 to 18/12. Additionally, a 'rotation_tweak' parameter allows for gears rotation adjustment (5 degrees moved 'horns'). As MatLab is unavailable, gearopt.m was rewritten in Perl as gearopt.pl. The model requires GregFrost's Parametric Involute Bevel and Spur Gears and cyrozap's Weighted Storage Cube from Thingiverse. Following adjustments, use skeinforge or a similar slicer to prepare for 3D printing with your preferred printer.
