<p>I liked the form of the original dock and being able to add weight to it from the bottom really makes using the dock easy (can't knock it over easily, etc).&nbsp;</p><p>However, I did not like using set screws to hold the magsafe pad in place. I found that they would gouge/scratch the outside of the pad. So, I decided to use a groove that can hold an o-ring or piece of TPU filament like was done on the bottom. The o-ring allows the pad to be held in securely without getting scratched.&nbsp;</p><p>I also modified the groove in the bottom so the o-ring stuck out above the surface a little more for better grip.&nbsp;</p><p>The plug from the original model is reused. I found that scaling it down to 99% made it easier to install, the threads are very snug if you don't.&nbsp;</p>
