Weighted Companion Cube - Multi-Material

Weighted Companion Cube - Multi-Material

thingiverse

I am creating a project specifically for the Prusa Multi-material printer, a 5x5x5cm weighted companion cube designed to be highly accurate and faithful to the original Portal 1 model. Upon receiving my Prusa Multi-material upgrade, I wanted to get familiar with multi material modeling and printing. This project allows me to do just that. The design is as precise as possible, replicating the look of the original Portal 1 weighted companion cube. I used eSun's "Cool White", "Silver", and "Pink" PLA+ filaments, along with their PVA, printing with stock Prusa settings for "generic PLA" and "PrimaSelect PVA". I chose the "0.15mm OPTIMAL SOLUBLE INTERFACE" print settings, adjusting the support overhang threshold to 12 degrees to minimize unnecessary supports. For those interested in reproducing this project, I have included the Slic3r print settings .ini file and plate config .amf, along with the original openSCAD design, STL files, and a pre-sliced gcode for use directly on a Prusa MM (mk2/mk2s). The filament order should be gray (PLA), white (PLA), pink (PLA), PVA. The print time is approximately 21.5 hours.
