Weighted Companion Cube
myminifactory
I built this Weighted Companion Cube straight out of the Portal series, but with one side completely redesigned from scratch based on pictures I had - it's not perfect, but it gets the job done. Originally created for a buddy, I'm now sharing it with everyone. The STL file you'll get is just one half of the cube, so you'll need to print six identical pieces and glue them all together. Before gluing, give the faces that are about to be joined some serious sanding to make sure they're smooth and even - a little bit of gap filling along the edges where they meet might also be necessary. Once you've got your cube printed, prime it, slap on some paint, and go wild with weather effects! I personally used PLA from Protoparadigm, printing at 0.08mm layer height on my trusty Prusia i3 Mk2/s with 30% infill - the result was a 75mm companion cube that's ready to roll once all six pieces are printed and assembled.
