Weetwood Moor 8a (June 2008)
sketchfab
Carved outcrop lies south of Clavering, close to Wooler in Northumberland. This area is believed to be 'Weetwood Moor 8a' according to Beckensall Archive (BA), based on Stan Beckensall's drawing and site description. It was included in ERA by NADRAP in 2008 with this description: The carving consists of one cup surrounded by multiple penannulars and a duct. The duct bends past another cup, ring, and continues down the face of the panel. All motifs are very faint, barely visible. Other features may have existed on this panel that have since been eroded away. Within the stones' bedding planes, some natural swirls can be seen. ERA (BA) information: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/era/section/panel/overview.jsf?eraId=783 Historic England scheduling: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1416809 This model was created from 2 stereo pairs captured by Joe Gibson during NADRAP recording in June 2008. The imagery forms part of the NADRAP / ERA archive.
