Weetwood Moor 1a (2006)

Area of outcrop towards the eastern end of Weetwood Moor, near Wooler in Northumberland. One of over two dozen areas of exposed outcrop clustered together on Weetwood Moor. This exposure is referenced ‘Weetwood Moor 1a’ on the Beckensall Archive, and was added to ERA by the Northumberland and Durham Rock Art Project in 2008. The upper surface is adorned with a scatter of cups, cups with partial rings, cups with linear grooves, and an unusual large flat bottomed cup with two penannulars. The imagery formed part of the NADRAP / ERA archive. Noise within the model is a result of some areas being covered in two photos.
