Weeping Angel redux (Tree Topper)
thingiverse
I designed an updated Weeping Angel inspired by Doctor Who, featuring a distinctive hole at its bottom allowing it to be used as a Christmas tree topper. I am pleased with this version's closer resemblance to the TV show's original depiction. The angel is 3D printed in ABS plastic using a 300-micron slice thickness and 2-shell settings with an infill percentage of 5%. During printing, some support material was needed, but it remained minimal (refer to the accompanying photo). Post-print, I used acetone vapor polish to stabilize the delicate fingers, which were initially very thin. Those familiar with the challenges of 3D printing may refer to this print as particularly demanding; in such cases, slower print settings are highly recommended for optimal results.
