Weep Hole Cap

I had an abundance of unwanted mud packers lodged in my newly purchased house so I urgently needed a solution to conceal them. Home Depot quoted a substantial sum per piece for these unappealing, bulky weep hole covers. That option was unequivocally rejected. Undeterred, I booted up OpenSCAD and created a custom design, calculating the production cost of these weep hole caps at roughly two to three cents apiece. My trusty Prusa Mendel printer, freshly purchased, quickly sprang into action to produce twenty-five identical pieces at a time using pristine white PLA. The precision-designed weep hole covers snugly fit my house's channels with just a minute amount of waterproof sealant. Installation Instructions Before proceeding, determine the approximate size of the weep holes in your dwelling, then insert corresponding measurements into the OpenSCAD file. A highly recommended strategy involves printing these components in sets of 20-25 at a time to maximize efficiency and minimize waste. Upon completion of printing, locate a weather-resistant sealant, preferably silicone or caulk. Generously apply the sealant around each cover to facilitate seamless insertion. Gently inspect the weep hole for any signs of unwanted intruders, then carefully slide the cap into position to create an exact flush alignment with the surrounding mortar. Upon application, it's advisable for the new covers to fit loosely but be prepared for the silicone/caulk to solidify as it sets.
