Weedle, the Hairy Bug Pokémon, are larval creatures found roaming wild in early Kanto and Johto regions. These weak Pokémon are primarily captured to be evolved into their cocoon-like Kakuna form, which eventually transforms into the hornet-like Beedrill form. Weedle possess little pink feet and a round, pink nose. Commonly spotted in forests and grasslands, eating leaves, Weedle are well-defended from predators by sharp two-inch barbs on their heads that secrete a strong poison. Each Weedle also has another stinger on its rear. With its big red proboscis, a Weedle uses its extremely acute sense of smell to find the types of leaves it eats. Often inhabiting forests and grasslands, it consumes its weight in leaves daily.
