From Cedar Key, Florida, a valuable relic has been unearthed. It dates back to the period spanning from AD 200 to 700. This artifact falls under the Weeden Island culture era. Its decoration is characterized by incised and painted designs. The material used in its composition includes sand. This type of ceramic predominantly found on the NW Florida, Florida Gulf Coast region. A part of this collection can be seen at the Ceramic Technology Laboratory in the Florida Museum of Natural History. It was recreated by Lindsay Bloch using a NextEngine 3D Desktop laser scanner.
