A project in Autodesk Inventor 2014 demonstrates a dynamic simulation where a wedge falls between two rollers acting as clamps due to gravity. The wedge stops falling when it reaches equilibrium, and this can be explained by analyzing the attached Forces diagram (Output Grapher).JPG file. The standard joints have imposed friction, and contact joints have restitution and friction parameters. By altering the radius of the wedge base cylinder, one can observe its effect on the mechanism's behavior. The simulation allows users to change settings and test the mechanism's performance. It is also a fun educational tool for children. The joints' imposed friction values are 0.15, with different radii for pedestal/wings and wings/rollers, while contact joints have restitution of 0.8 and friction of 0.15.
