Weber 40/44 IDF air intake silencer

I install an intake silencer on my Weber 40 IDF and 44 IDF carburetors. The base plate is securely fastened directly onto the carburetor itself. Next, I attach a high-performance air filter from K&N for optimal airflow. Four M6 Allen key bolts firmly hold the top of the silencer in place. While this intake silencer may be slightly too large to fit in a Volkswagen Beetle, it easily mounts in my custom-built Kitcar and should also work well on a Karman Ghia with sufficient clearance.
