Webcam Stand

I needed a webcam arm that stood taller than anything I had found before. The three lengths of thumb screws on hand proved to be quite versatile - the long one was perfect for securing the base link in place, while the medium-sized ones fit snugly onto all the other arm links. Meanwhile, the "tightening" version held the camera firmly against its mount with precision. All three were 1/4 - 20 threaded, so I had the option to swap them out for metal versions if needed. To ensure a smooth assembly process, I turned to my trusty tap and die set to fine-tune the threads on my printer output. Unfortunately, the initial prints came out with threads that were too tight, making it difficult to assemble the parts as intended. As an alternative solution, I decided to reduce the diameter of the thumb bolts by a small margin, which made all the difference in getting everything to fit together seamlessly.
